Happenings Valet Service Schedule About the DOGS

Daily Valet Service Schedule

If you're available one weekday morning, check out the valet schedule below and signup for an open spot. It's easy. Just email with the days that you'd like to run the Valet Service.

The Setup

Valet Service starts at 7:30am, finishes at 7:55am, and takes place across from 521 Silvera Avenue. Arrive a few minutes early for setup.
A small utility cart can be found in the storage closet at the South end of Building B. You'll find safety vests, a stop sign, 5 safety road cones and a clip board.
Place 4 of the 5 cones on marked white dots about 8 feet from the curb. Place the 5th cone on the curb next to the tree. Insert the handle of the stop sign inside top of the 5th cone to display the stop sign for arriving vehicles.

The Service
Make sure your student workers wear the safety vests, and stay off the curb.
Students should open car doors from the curb - not the street.
When it gets busy, direct the student workers to alternate cars among the group to expedite the flow of traffic. (You'll have to open doors as well).
Greet students and drivers with a "Good Morning" or "Welcome to Kettering".
Tally the amount of cars/students serviced on the clip board.
When the bell rings, return the utility cart with all the equipment back to the storage room, and you're done!

About the Valet Program
Our 5th Grade Teacher and fellow Watch DOG, Bob Negendank, runs our valet service. He gets approval from parents and assigns students (3 at a time) to work the valet service in the mornings (7:30a to 7:55a).
