Kettering Olympic Jog-a-Thon

Thursday, February 27, 2014

The Kettering Jog-a-Thon will have an Olympic theme this year. Each classroom
will represent a different country. Every student will be a winner and
receive a medal.

Students have a chance to be the Kettering Olympian for the day. The student who brings in the most money by February 17th will join other former athletes and become our school's very own Olympian!  The student will be announced at the spirit assembly on February 20th! As Olympian, the student will announce the countries in the parade of nations and light the torch!!!!

To ensure the success of the event and help the students raise the most money, donations of time and in-kind support are needed.

This event is among the top sources of revenue for Kettering and donors have the pleasure of knowing that every penny directly benefits the students. Money raised is used by the PTA to fund field trips (Kettering is one of the few remaining schools that provides field trips at no charge to the students), school supplies, enrichment activities, the Meet the Masters art program, library supplies, and computer lab supplies and software.

We are looking for local business who will become Community Business Partners with Kettering PTA. For sponsorship information, please see the link below.

In-kind support in the form of oranges, cut, unpeeled bananas, wipes, and water for the event will also be needed.  Please check in with your students room parent for more information about these items, questions, and other ways to help.

Donations may be dropped off at the classroom. They will be collected by the Olympic Committee.
