Room Parents are an essential part of the PTA, serving as a liaison between the teacher and the student's parents. Parent and teacher involvement creates excitement and a sense of accomplishment for everyone.

Serving as a room parent involves many tasks throughout the school year. Some of these duties include:

• Work effectively with the classroom teacher(s)
• Help promote the work of the PTA with the school
  
• Jog-a-thon
• Open House
• Teacher Appreciation
• Carnival and Silent Auction

If you are interested in being a room parent for your child’s classroom you can email the  Room Parent coordinators, Shannon Hilleshiem and Joy Hardwick at roomparents@ketteringpta.org. You can also sign up at the Parent Planning night on Tuesday, September 15th.

A Room Parent orientation meeting will take place on Tuesday September 29th in the Parent Center.
