Being a Room Parent is an ideal way to be involved with your child’s classroom and put in volunteer hours at the same time. For more information on being a room parent, see: http://www.ketteringpta.org/roomparents. Being a Room Parent is a year long commitment, although it can be shared with other parents. Room parents typically spend an hour a week, depending on calendar activities.
D.O.G.S. are Dads Of Great Students. If you’re a dad, grand-dad or male guardian, and you want to be involved in your child’s school, hands-down, this is the easiest way to get involved. You’ll be in the company of other guys that like to build things, grill things and make kids laugh. For more information on being a Watch DOG, visit the Watch D.O.G.S. page. The Watch DOGS have events that take 30 minutes to 3 hours, depending on the event calendar.
